The Governor of Virginia has expanded the eligibility criteria for the Rebuild VA Small Business Grant Program. Previously when the program launched in August, those businesses who had received prior aid due to the COVID-19 pandemic were not eligible for the Rebuild VA grant. The Governor has now expanded that criteria to include businesses that received federal funding from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Additionally, supply chain partners of businesses whose normal operations were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic are now eligible to receive grants of up to $10,000. Businesses that received federal funding must certify that they will only use the Rebuild VA grant for recurring expenses and not to cover the same expenses as other CARES Act funds.
