Business Programs
Start Small Campbell Business Grant Program:
- For new businesses employing 200 people or less and starting business for the first time
- Must submit an application to receive a $5,000 grant
- Application must include a comprehensive business plan reviewed by a counselor at Small Business Development Center-Lynchburg Region
- Applicant must complete two StartUp Toolbox workshops offered by the Small Business Development Center
- Grants awarded twice a year in May and November--up to 4 total grants per year.
Economic Stimulus Grant:
- Grant not to exceed 50% of the annual county net new tax revenue generated per year by new capital investments, not to exceed four years
- Initial capital investment must be at least $250,000.
Employment Credit:
- Minimum of 5 new full-time jobs with benefits
- Maximum grant of $450 per qualifying full-time job created
- One time award of employment credit of job created

Restaurants That Rent Reimbursement Grant:
- Restaurants opening for the first time or establishing a first location in the County.*
(*Note: Restaurants in the Town of Altavista and Town of Brookneal are not eligible for rent reimbursement.) - May be eligible for rent reimbursement for one year up to $15,000
- Must have a lease commitment for three or more years and occupy up to 3,500 square feet
- May be combined with an Economic Stimulus Grant and Employment Credits
Workforce Training Grants:
- Coordinated through Virginia Career Works
- Grant provides a pay-for-performance model for funding noncredit workforce training that leads to a credential in a high demand field
