A gracious thank you to all of the farmers and guests that participated in the launching of the Central Virginia Farm Tours. The weather conditions were ideal for exploring and experiencing first-hand the amazing work our local farmers do with pride. From distilling lavender and cleaning lavender buds at Evergreen Lavender Farm, assembling freshly clipped flowers at Rosefield Farm and Flowers, hayrides and a petting zoo at Wilt Family Farms, walks through the gardens at Deb's Daylilies & More, as well as seeing all aspects of poultry production at Pamplin Poultry, there was something for every agricultural interest. In Campbell County Debbie Gagon, owner of Seeds of Faith Farm demonstrated how to preserve seeds while Bryan Allgood of Allgood's Farm showed us how he uses their antique tractor to work their 10-acre produce farm.

If you are a farmer that is interested in participating in next year's tour please contact your local extension office.
